United Way of the Lowcountry’s Showers of Dignity trailer brings comfort and care to our neighbors experiencing homelessness by offering free showers and hygiene essentials — and we need your help restocking supplies.

We’re currently in need of:
🩲 Men’s & Women’s Underwear (any size)
🧼 White Bath Towels (24x48 preferred)
🧴 Bug Spray
🧽 Bleach

Every item helps restore comfort, dignity, and hope for our neighbors right here in the Lowcountry.

📚💛 A big THANK YOU to UPS – Hilton Head Division for delivering more than packages today—they delivered service!

Our friends from UPS joined us to help label books for our Early Grade Reading (EGR) Initiative. Pictured left to right: Frances Ballario (Education Impact Manager), Meg Shedrow, Ron Marshall, Bethany Marcinkowski (VP of Education Impact), Jason Dukes, and Derrick Bennett.

Because of their time and support, these books will soon be in the hands of local students, inspiring a love of reading and building strong foundations for success. Last year, United Way gifted more than 17,000 books to children through our early grade literacy programs.

🌅⛳ What an early — and inspiring — morning at the Rotary Club of Sea Island - Beaufort Golf Tournament at The Legends at Parris Island!

We’re so grateful to Sea Island Rotary for giving our Showers of Dignity trailer such a prime spot. 🚿✨

The reception was warm, the conversations meaningful, and we had the chance to give tours and talk about how United Way of the Lowcountry creates opportunities for individuals and families to achieve self-sufficiency.

We may not know who walked away with the tournament trophy, but we definitely felt like winners thanks to the support and enthusiasm we received. 💙

Our partner, Tanger Outlets, Hilton Head is once again supporting teachers and students through the TangerKids Grant Program. Since 1996, Tanger has been committed to helping students succeed by funding projects that modernize classrooms, enhance learning, and provide inclusive resources.
