Beattyville Kiwanis Club

Beattyville Kiwanis Club Kiwanis International is a global organization of members of every age who are dedicated to changing the world, one child and one community at a time.

The Kiwanis motto is "We Build" and that is the basis for what our club does in our community. We help other organizations that support our community, most importantly, our children. The Kiwanis club of Beattyville, KY was chartered on February 15, 1923 with 50 members. In 1995, our club purchased property known as "Happy Top". We bought the property to build a community park to serve the resident

s of Lee County and visitors as well. With the cooperation of the Lee County Fiscal Court and City of Beattyville it has made this project a success! You will find 2 Baseball Fields, Basketball Courts, an Amphitheater, a Skate Park, a Splash Park, Children's Playground, Picnic Rest Area with grills, a gorgeous walking trail, and breath taking views from the mountain top. Our club meets every Tuesday night at 6:00pm on Happy Top at the Community Center.

The T-shirts are in. The flood of March 2021, brought help from across the Commonwealth and nation, and we were reminded that we are one family. To commemorate that time when all became Lee Countians, a local artist came up with this design. You can purchase shirts for $15. $8 will go to production costs by the local vendors and $7 will go to the Kiwanis "Lee County Recovery Fund." This will support local businesses and those displaced by the flood.
Will ship for an additional cost.

Lee County another official woman has been reported to the Health District as of Today, Friday, August 21. There has been another 60+ year old woman who has shared she has tested positive who has shared on Facebook, but the Health Dept hasn't officially reported the case.
If you look throughout the District, other counties are being hit far more seriously than Lee, but these clusters have contacts in Lee County, so our numbers have been steadily climbing and we may have a cluster sometime soon. Don't be surprised.
Please continue stringent hygiene practices (Wash those hands), social distancing and wear the masks.
The County will continue to follow health department guidelines, and not forcefully close things, but it is up to every person in the County to take care of themselves and protect others.
And if you feel ill, stay home and see a doctor. I predict we have challenges ahead, but absolutely believe,
We've Got This Lee County.
