The Omaha Chapter and Nebraska SAR were represented at SAR Fall Leadership Meetings in Louisville, KY.

It was a great couple of days, meeting in committees and taking care of the business of the SAR, visiting with new and old friends from around the country, and having a great time at the banquets, and social hours.

Let’s make sure all our members come back for another year!

My Fellow Compatriots!!

It is now September and that means it is Reconciliation Season!! For some of our smaller Chapters that may not be a daunting pair of words, but for the large Chapters they’re often met with trepidation, as it means a long 3 and a half months of phone calls, emails, texts, visits, and everything under the sun trying to get our 2026 Dues collected and our end of year membership rosters settle before the holidays.

So I need your help……

Reach out to the leadership of your Chapter and offer your support in helping RETAIN our fellow Compatriots.

If we are truly committed to honoring our Revolutionary War patriot ancestors by promoting patriotism, serving our communities, and educating and inspiring future generations about the founding principles of these United States - then we need every set of hands we have to do the work that needs doing.

So call your Brother Compatriots and remind and invite them of upcoming meetings, Gravemarkings, Commemorations, and events. Encourage them to get their 2026 Dues in early, and let’s not squander our amazing growth in 2025 by losing the men we already have within our ranks.

Reconciliation is due to State Secretary Bob Sigmon by Monday, 15 December 2025 at 1700 (5:00 PM).

Members of the Omaha and Lincoln Chapters spent part of their Saturday participating in the Living History Extravaganza at Homestead National Historical Park in Beatrice, NE, educating the public about the Nebraska SAR and the American Revolution.

Come and attend our Compatriot “Real Son” grave marking ceremony at Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, NE today at 11:30am. Rev. Samuel Goodale was the son of Revolutionary War Patriot, Chester Goodale.

He was SAR member #4633 and Nebraska member #33, joining the SAR in 1895.
