Through Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging, Blue Rivers Public Transportation provides safe, dependable, and affordable transportation services for people of all ages, including individuals with disabilities helping residents stay connected to the resources and opportunities they need.

In rural communities, transportation challenges can create barriers to healthcare, employment, education, and other essential services. Public transit plays a critical role in overcoming those challenges, providing older adults, individuals with disabilities, workers, students, and families with reliable access to the places they need to go. By improving mobility and accessibility, Blue Rivers Public transportation supports both individual well-being and the overall economic vitality of the community.

Blue Rivers Area Agency on Aging is committed to strengthening transportation options for today and the future. At Apace, we empower people with disabilities to live each day to the fullest. Funds raised during Big Give Gage will go towards purchasing two interactive touchscreen computers and adaptive technology, along with desks, and chairs, making the digital world more accessible for the people we support.

The mission of the Filley Historical and Betterment Association is to preserve and celebrate the history, heritage, and traditions of the Filley community while encouraging continued growth and improvement. Through community projects, fundraising activities, volunteer service, and local events, the association works to bring residents together, promote community pride, and make Filley a welcoming and thriving place for current and future generations.

ONE WEEK AGO TODAY… GAGE COUNTY SHOWED UP BIG!

One week ago today, more than 340 people gathered at Stone Hollow Brewing Company to officially kick off Big Give Gage 2026 — and what an incredible evening it was!

An event like this doesn’t happen because of one person or one organization. It happens because an entire community steps up, pitches in, and believes in supporting the nonprofits that make Gage County such a special place to call home.

This Big Give Gage, we’re dreaming BIG at St. Paul’s Lutheran School! 💙

Our mission is to provide a faith-based education that helps students grow in faith, knowledge, character, and service.

🌟 Our Big Give Project: Renovating Our School Bathrooms!
Our school bathrooms are well-loved and well-used, and they are ready for a much-needed refresh. We want to create clean, welcoming, functional spaces that our students feel comfortable and cared for.
And because giving should be FUN…🤗🎉

Help Us Grow the Next Generation of Healthy Eaters!

What happens when you give a child $3 and turn them loose at the farmers market?

They get to make their own choices. They discover new foods. They meet the farmers who grow their food. And they begin to see the farmers market as a place that belongs to them, too.

That’s the idea behind POP Club (Power of Produce) at the Beatrice Farmers Market!

Each week, kids ages 4–12 participate in an educational activity and then receive $3 in POP Club tokens to spend on fresh, locally grown produce. It’s a simple concept, but it creates opportunities for kids to connect with local farmers, try new fruits and vegetables, and develop healthy eating habits.

And we want to keep growing it!

This year for Big Give Gage, PLANT Alliance is raising funds to support POP Club and make this program available to even more local kids.

Whispering Acres is dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming place where people can connect, learn, and grow through equine-assisted learning, animal-assisted learning, and meaningful experiences in nature. Our programs help children, families, and individuals build confidence, develop life skills, improve emotional well-being, and foster lasting connections with animals and the outdoors.

Following the devastating fire, we have been working hard to rebuild and restore our facilities so we can continue serving our community. Funding from Big Give Gage will play a vital role in helping us continue this rebuilding effort by repairing damaged spaces, replacing essential resources, and ensuring Whispering Acres remains a place of hope, healing, learning, and opportunity for years to come. Every contribution brings us one step closer to fully restoring our home and expanding the impact we can make in our community.

The Great Plains Welsh Heritage Project welcomes your donations to help us share the story of the Welsh who came to Nebraska and the Great Plains region as it has never been told before. We are seeking to raise $20,000 to help complete the interior of our expanded museum exhibit space, the outer shell of which we expect to finish building by the end of this year. Your gift will go toward drywall, lighting, flooring and exhibit displays.

Established in 2000 by local descendants of the Welsh who came to Gage County beginning in the 1880s, the Welsh Heritage Centre in downtown Wymore is home to the only purpose-built archive for Welsh cultural artifacts in the USA and Canada. We are grateful for donations that will help us share these treasured items with the local community and the wider world, while also expanding our space for both exhibits and events.
