Indian Caves campout take 2!

We had a great time at Indian Caves state park this past weekend. Scouts learned, brief orientation, picking a hiking route on a map with 6 essentials, picking out a safe camping location, how to plan out cooking meals with prepping and cooking, making Smores, making Cobblers (peach, apple, blueberrie, and chocolate cherry). Then cleaning up before other adventures like fishing, scavenger hunt, living history exhibits,and hiking. Then we also participated in a vintage Volkswagen club trick or treat event, haunted hayrack ride, RV camp ground for Halloween decoration contest.

Do you like the range activities? The Council is putting on a Cub Scout Archery only range day. October 24th from 2-4pm. $5.00 per Scout. Come out and have a good time.

This was a great event to be a part of with all the scouts of Beatrice and Cornhusker Council, Scouting America working together. Thank you to scouts in Scouts BSA Troop 223 and BSA Troop 221 - Beatrice (6th-12th) for joining cubscouts (K-5) and bringing this all together. We filled and set out approximately 2,000 Luminary bags for Light the Night with Beatrice Community Hospital Foundation and Beatrice Mary Family YMCA

We recently continued learning about leave no trace, conservation, and performing line sweeping a area for quick coverage doing a trash litter pickup at a city park for Keep Beatrice Beautiful, Inc.

Pack 223 scouts along with others will be filling approximately 2,000 luminary bags for Walk of Light. Come by and visit with us at our booth.

It is officially Night of Light for Every Fight Week!!!🎉🎉

The countdown is on and we can't wait to see our community come together this Thursday, October 1, from 6-9PM at the B*H Main Parking Lot!

🍔Grab a bite to eat!
We will have 7 food and drink trucks joining us, so come hungry and grab dinner and a drink while you take in everything happening around you!

🕯️Create a Luminary and Fun for the Little Ones!
Decorate a luminary in honor or in memory of someone special. Kids will have the chance to make an origami butterfly, get their face painted, or play with chalk!

🏮Around 7:30PM | Presenters
We will gather to hear from the YMCA, NHO, a cancer supporter, and a cancer fighter as they share messages of hope, strength, and encouragement. As the sun begins to set, grab a lantern and join us for the Walk of Light around B*H.
