Last week, we took some students to Peru State College for a business competition. We had Devon Busboom place 1st in Business Math and Seth Oltmans placed 2nd in Introduction to Business. Congrats to these two students!! During lunch, Trey Baehr blessed us with some karaoke.

Congrats to these FBLA students who have spent many, many hours preparing for their State Leadership Conference! The awards ceremony was today and here are the results.

Business Calculations - 2nd place (Devon Busboom)
Computer Applications - 4th place (Roel Navarrete)
Entrepreneurship - 1st place (Avery Gaertig & Devon Busboom)
Intro to Business - 4th place (Alayna Happle)
Intro to Business Presentation - 3rd place (Kate Gleason & Alayna Happle)
Intro to Event Planning - 1st place (Kate Gleason and Alayna Happle)
Job Interview - Semi-finals in round of 32 (Ty Young)
Marketing - 7th place (Riley Schwisow & Devon Busboom)
Spreadsheet Applications - 2nd place (Roel Navarrete)
Word Processing - 8th place (Roel Navarrete)

Avery, Devon, Alayna, Kate, and Roel automatically qualify for the National Leadership Conference over the summer due to their placing!!

We have 4 students that made it to the final round of their testing events! Congrats to Devon Busboom, Avery Gaertig, Kate Gleason, and Alayna Happle. Avery and Devon have their Entrepreneurship case study presentation tomorrow afternoon while Kate and Alayna have their Introduction to Event Planning case study presentation tomorrow as well. Good luck to these four students!
