15 scouts and 8 leaders spent the week at Raven K**b Scout Reservation for an amazing week of summer camp. Our week started with a LONG ride on Amtrak down to North Carolina where the fun began. Some scouts completed merit badges, some participated in the high adventure Mountain Man program, and some participated in the high adventure Rampage program. Ended our week sleeping under the stars. We all had a great time and can’t wait to see what our next adventure will be.

Rodney Summer Camp: The Final Chapter

All adventures must come to an end, and so has our time at Rodney.

Today was the day of lasts:
-last flag ceremony
-Brownsea Graduation
-last dinner together (we enjoyed that so many family members came to join us)
-last group picture
-closing campfire

Congratulations to Eli for winning the “Top Archer” award for earning the highest number of points in archery this week!

It was a great week, despite the heat. We learned, we had fun, and we can’t wait till next year.

Rodney Summer Camp Day 5:

Today was another hot one, but we didn’t let that stop us! Our first years earned their Totin’ Chip and had fun net fishing in the bay. It was nice to cool down in the bay in the heat of the afternoon.
Our older scouts enjoyed their time in their merit badges too. Ended our day with a great meal and some fun around camp.

Rodney Summer Camp Day 4:

It was a hot one today, but we started early with the Polar Bear Plunge. Some of our scouts spent time at the range in their merit badges. Our first-years spent some time in art doing pottery and then learned some knots. They also took a nature hike, working towards their nature merit badge.

We’ve passed the halfway point at summer camp - just 2 days left of summer camp fun.

Rodney Summer Camp Day 3:

Our Brownsea group spent the day leaning first aid, maps and compasses, and trying their hand at archery. We ended the day with the infamous Brownsea Hike and a splash fight!

Our non-Brownsea scouts are enjoying their Merit badges too - spending time at the range and sailing and ending their day with free time at each of the range activities.

Rodney Summer Camp Day 2:

We climbed, we swam, we raided! The Rotisserie Chicken Raiders enjoyed their first full day in Brownsea. They went swimming, climbing, and “raided” Bull Mountain Studios.

We started our day with a flag ceremony and ended it with free swim and games around the picnic table.

Everyone enjoyed our first full day of camp.

Twenty Scouts and five leaders took on the Lehigh River this weekend for an unforgettable whitewater rafting adventure! We paddled hard through the rapids, splashed our way through epic water battles, and even managed to avoid “the snake” while swimming the river. It was a day full of teamwork, laughs, and memories that will last a lifetime. Another great Scout adventure in the books!
