This morning, members and family of Lodge 5 made a remarkable impact by participating in the annual Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) 5K. Brother Dvorak's outstanding achievement of winning gold in his age bracket was truly inspiring, while Brother Belk and Sister Haines's remarkable performances earned them metals for their brackets. Congratulations to all on a job exceptionally well done!

Today we hosted our annual FOP Lodge 5 Family Easter Egg Hunt — and what a great day it was!

Families enjoyed visiting with the Easter Bunny, getting their faces painted, spending time with Facility Dog Wombat and horses Julio and Xander from the New Castle County Police Mounted Unit, and of course… hunting for eggs!

Be sure to check out the photos to see all the smiles, fun moments, and special memories from the day — you might even spot someone you know!

A special thank you to Sister Haines and her incredible team of volunteers for making this event truly memorable for our FOP Lodge 5 families. We appreciate all of your hard work and dedication!

Session Spotlight: Investigating Force in the 21st Century
Digital Video Literacy for Force Investigators

This course empowers investigators to critically examine body-worn and surveillance video by understanding how compression, distortion, and timing gaps can affect what is seen on screen. Participants gain the technical insight and investigative discipline needed to avoid common pitfalls and present video evidence responsibly and accurately.

The video does not always speak for itself, and without proper analysis it can lead to misinterpretations and inaccurate conclusions. This session provides the tools necessary to evaluate footage within the full context of an incident.

Register by March 5 to secure your spot and discounted hotel rate. Strengthen your agency’s ability to conduct fair and defensible force investigations.
