Catch the Bruster’s truck onsite most weekends from 12 PM – 5 PM (hours may vary with weather and special events). Just look for the Bruster’s sign and follow your sweet tooth 😄

It’s hard to put into words what this community has become. 💙

Our annual meeting at JAKL Beer Works was more than just a recap—it was a reminder of how much heart, passion, and momentum is behind the Friends of Lums Pond volunteer group.

We heard from Delaware State Parks staff about the meaningful projects happening at the park, the continued support of this group, and the exciting events coming to parks all across Delaware. And then we took a moment to reflect on our year… and wow.

So many firsts.
First time participating in the Party 5 nonprofit event.
First town halls.
First park pass incentive program.
First Instagram account.
New partnerships, like with the DE NICA bike group.

And Pond Fest? It leveled up in every possible way—multiple sponsored stages, a dozen incredible acts, a Kid Zone, local responder demos, and new tools like Square and Eventbrite helping us grow bigger than ever before.

The list truly goes on… and it’s all because of you.

The support from this community has been nothing short of incredible, and we feel it every step of the way.

And we’re just getting started.

This Sunday kicks off a brand new chapter with our very first Halfway to Pond Fest 5K 🏃‍♀️
Then it’s full speed ahead toward our biggest, baddest Pond Fest yet on October 10, 2026 🎶

More growth. More connection. More memories.

The holidays are upon us this week! A few reminders, the park office will be closed Thursday and Friday (11/27-11/28). The nature center will be closed on Thursday but will reopen on Friday from 12-4p.m.
Entrance fees are waived on Friday for the national movement to 🌲
Join us for the Opt Outside hike, 10a.m. at the nature center to work off that Thanksgiving turkey! 🦃🥾
