⚠️ TRAFFIC ADVISORY — LAKESHORE DR/TN-375 ⚠️

The Annual Lakeshore Community Yard Sale is taking place this weekend, and motorists traveling along Lakeshore Drive (TN-375) should expect heavier-than-normal traffic throughout the area.

With yard sales taking place along nearly 20 miles of the roadway, please be prepared for slow-moving vehicles, sudden stops, vehicles entering and exiting driveways, and increased pedestrian activity along or near the roadway.

🚗 Slow down and allow extra following distance.
👀 Stay alert for vehicles stopping or turning unexpectedly.
🚶 Watch closely for pedestrians along the roadway and shoulders.
📵 Put the phone down and keep your attention on the road.
🚒 Please avoid blocking driveways, intersections, or areas that could be needed for emergency vehicle access.

We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable weekend. If you're traveling TN-375, give yourself a little extra time, use patience, and help keep Lakeshore safe for everyone.

🇺🇸 25 YEARS LATER — WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Today, the Bean Station Rescue Squad joins our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years have passed, but the courage, sacrifice, and unity shown on that day will never be forgotten. We honor the 2,977 innocent lives lost, including the firefighters, law enforcement officers, EMS personnel, and other first responders who answered the call without hesitation.

We also remember those who survived, the families who lost loved ones, and the first responders who continued to suffer from the effects of their service in the years that followed.

September 11th reminds us of the true meaning of service, courage, sacrifice, and unity. As members of the emergency services community, we carry tremendous respect for those who ran toward danger while others were running to safety.

May we continue to honor their memory—not only today, but every day.

🇺🇸 September 11, 2001 — September 11, 2026
25 Years Later. We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

GRAINGER COUNTY STRONG

The past 24 hours have tested our community in ways we never hoped to see. Historic flooding has impacted families, homes, businesses, and roadways across Grainger County, leaving many facing heartbreaking losses and an uncertain road ahead.

Since the first calls came in, our Volunteer Fire Departments, Rescue Squads, Law Enforcement Officers, EMS personnel, Emergency Management, Highway Department, Utility Crews, and countless other responders have worked around the clock. From welfare checks and damage assessments to water rescues, pumping floodwater from homes and businesses, clearing roadways, and continuing to answer the everyday emergencies that never stop, these men and women have answered every call with dedication and compassion.

Our thoughts and prayers are with every family affected by this disaster—especially those who have lost their homes, vehicles, personal belongings, or have suffered significant property damage. We know the road to recovery won't happen overnight, but you are not facing it alone.

Grainger County has always been defined by neighbors helping neighbors. In times like these, we are reminded that the strength of our community isn't found in buildings or roads—it's found in the people who call this place home.

Together, we will clean up. Together, we will rebuild. Together, we will recover.

Thank you to every first responder, volunteer, public servant, and citizen who has stepped up to help. Your selfless service, long hours, and unwavering commitment have made a difference when it mattered most.

Grainger County Strong. Today. Tomorrow. Always.
