It's official, Uraki School in Usa River, Tanzania has light!

Great news, our installation team arrived safely and had a successful day 1 in Usa River, Tanzania. Confirmed all our materials arrived, moved everything to the site, dug a trench from solar array location to school (see pic), dug holes for solar array racking, and ran wires to all eight school rooms. More to come tomorrow...

UPDATE--All of our materials have safely arrived in Usa River, Tanzania and are ready for installation, just in the nick of time. Our installation team departs Friday...help us wish them well by posting on our news feed and stay tuned for daily updates from the ground.

The batteries for our Usa River, Tanzania project have finally arrived on site...next up, solar panels, racking and inverter. Install scheduled for October 26th, fingers crossed they arrive in time!

Today marks the end of our GiveGab campaign for our upcoming trip to Usa River, Tanzania.

We are thrilled to announce that we have gone above and beyond our fundraising goal, and have raised a total of $10,311! With your support, we are now able to outfit the Uraki School in Usa River with both a solar electrical system and a fully functional computer lab this summer.

From all of us at Global Solace, thank you all so much for your support and donations to our campaign. We will be posting details about our trip in the upcoming days, so stay tuned!
