We're proud to once more be of service to - and more importantly, WITH - our community.

We are excited to be partnering with the City of Beacon, the Tioronda Garden Club,
our veterans, Destination Dutchess, the Melzingah Chapter of the DAR and several arts groups and nonprofits to plan a whole series of events to celebrate America’s 250th birthday this summer. Find the full schedule here:

But how many of us truly understand the mere four handwritten pages that created a nation; a document so enduring it's only been amended twenty-seven times in its 238 year history?

The Beacon Veterans Organizations - VFW Post 666 (William B. Wilson), American Legion Post 203, and the Marine Corps League Detachment 861 (Carmen Ramputi) - proudly present, in collaboration with our local community a marathon reading of The United States Constitution with expert commentary from Professor Breslin, Chair of Government Studies at Skidmore College.

Pocket editions of this, our founding document, will be given to attendees. Refreshments will be provided.

Beacon Remembers, Memorial Day 2026

There are almost 100 names inscribed on the momument that fronts the Veterans Memorial Building. The loss for a community the size of Beacon is enormous, especially when one considers that some of the family names on that monument are the same.

Their absence is felt.

And we remember.
