Green Teen Beacon

💚 Green Teen's first ever march in Spirit of Beacon Day was a great success!! Nothing is more wonderful than walking up Main St and hearing all of our friends and neighbors shout, "It's Green Teen!!" Thank you, Beacon, for all you do to support and uplift our youth. 💚 Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County

💚 Just a few memories of our final days with Summer 2026: cooking pizza at the Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County office, hiking at Dennings Point, and building the tent for our wash station.

So much of the magic of Green Teen happens "off screen-" the simpler moments of team building, exploration, and simple enjoyment of being outdoors and working together. In their end-of-season reflections, these are some of the memories that matter most to our youth. 💚

💚 Our Summer 26 crew had their last hurrah at the 180th Dutchess County Fair!!

Is there any better way to end the summer than a day at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds ? In between shifts at the AgriVentures Tent scavenger hunt activity, we got to enjoy all the Fair has to offer: big vegetables, farm animals, plenty of food, rides and games, and the famous 4-H milkshakes!

After seven weeks of hard work, this was a well-earned day of fun for our crew. They're off to the next big thing now- school, or a new job, or maybe a new season of Green Teen! But there will only ever be one Summer 26 Crew. Thanks for everything, Green Teens- keep GROWING!! 💚 Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County

💚 This week, our "cousins" at Green Teen Poughkeepsie came to visit Beacon for a fun-filled morning of games, team-building, and friendship!

There are only two chapters of Green Teen in the world, so these partnership moments really mean everything to our mission. And if the City of Beacon Recreation teen program gets to join in once in a while? All the better!!

Thanks for stopping by, GTPK- stay green! 💚 Cornell Cooperative Extension Dutchess County
