Compassion Cafe Compassion Café is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit.

Compassion Café’s sole mission is to employ local adolescents and adults with special needs by providing a work environment catered to training and support, so each individual is able to develop appropriate vocational skills in a natural work setting.

Mark your calendars October 23-25th for the annual striped bass derby at The Sea Shell Resort (Hotel/Tiki Bar/Restaurant). A full weekend of fun ending with the Sunday Fish Fry and Awards 12:00-2:00pm. Tickets are $20 per person and include the fish fry buffet. Tickets may be purchased on site. Come say hi and join us for a special recognition of Compassion Cafe!

Congratulations to our Jack for running the Chicago marathon today, earning his 4th World Major Star. He ran it in 3:50:43 with his amazing Achilles guides, Andrea and Lenny. His next World Major marathon will be Tokyo in March.  Amazing day for the Massaro family because his mom and #1 fan, Karen Massaro got to give Jack his medal 🏅 How incredibly special for all ❤️❤️❤️ WAY TO GO JACK! We are so proud of you🥇🏆🏃‍♂️

And just like that our 2026 season is over ❤️ As always, our deepest gratitude, appreciation and love to the The Sea Shell Resort (Hotel/Tiki Bar/Restaurant) and the Hughes Family for their unbelievable generosity, support and compassion ❤️. There are not enough words to say thank you for sharing your beautiful space and your beautiful hearts with us. We look forward to returning for season 7 in just 9 short months!!
