West Baytown Civic Association Founded in 1987, the West Baytown Civic Association is made up of residents from the Historic West End (formerly Old Baytown) in Baytown Texas. Mr.

Our goal is to gain community engagement to discuss issues and implement positive change within the community. The organization is led by President, Fred Aguilar. Aguilar is a long-time resident of Baytown who also activity services on the Fred Aguilar Promise Center as the President. He has a passion for community engagement for ensuring our neighborhood is a positive and enriching environment for generations to come.

Residents Invited to Help Shape Events Center and Library Project at Earliest Stage:
Baytown residents are being invited to help shape the future of two key community spaces, starting at the earliest stage of the process.

The City of Baytown is beginning the conceptual design phase for the proposed ExxonMobil Baytown Events Center and the renovation of Sterling Municipal Library. Together, these projects aim to create a modern destination for community events, learning, and connection across the city.

The City will host a public forum on Thursday, April 16, at 6:00 PM at the Baytown Community Center, Tejas Room, 2407 Market Street.

Let’s prepare early!

The City of Baytown invites the community to attend the 2026 Hurricane Preparedness Workshop on May 7 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm. The event will be held at the Baytown Community Center located at 2407 Market Street in the Lone Star Room.
The event is for all ages. Come to learn about emergency preparedness, stay for some light refreshments, and take home some emergency-supply door prizes or giveaways.
