🚨URGENT FOSTER NEEDED ASAP🚨

Last night, I received a call from my pet sitting client that her neighbor moved out of her home and took two of her three cats with her.

She chose the two younger cats and left her senior girl behind.

When my client learned what happened, she entered the empty apartment, and what she found was devastating. The conditions were horrible, but somehow, despite everything, this beautiful girl greeted her with nothing but love.

She purred. She rubbed against her. She wanted affection.

She had no idea that the person she trusted (the person who had been her entire world) was not coming back for her.

Maybe she watched the boxes being packed. Maybe she watched her two younger siblings being carried out the door. Maybe she waited patiently for someone to return for her too.

But no one did.

We understand that people experience hardships, and we are not here to publicly shame anyone. But there are always other options. There are rescues, shelters, neighbors, and people willing to help. There is no excuse for leaving a living, feeling animal behind as though she were an unwanted piece of furniture.

This poor senior girl has had her entire life ripped away from her. Her home is gone. Her family is gone. The other cats are gone. Everything familiar disappeared overnight.

And yet, she still trusts people.

She is incredibly sweet, social, affectionate, and loving. She purrs constantly, almost as if she is trying to convince someone that she is still worthy of being chosen.

Right now, she is temporarily living in my client’s hallway because my client could not bring herself to leave her in that apartment. But the hallway is not temperature-controlled, and today is going to be hot.

She cannot stay there. We desperately need a foster to take her TODAY.

Please don’t let her spend another wondering whether anyone is coming for her.

If you can open your home to her, even temporarily, please message us immediately. If you cannot foster, please share. Somewhere out there is the person who can show her that being left behind is not where her story ends. 💔🐾

🚨 URGENT FOSTER NEEDED! 🚨
🐾 These tiny babies need YOU! 🐾

These two adorable little kittens were found near the Coast Guard Station in Bayonne. Thankfully, a kind member of the Coast Guard stepped in and rescued them, getting them out of danger. ❤️🇺🇸

But now we have an urgent problem…

WE NEED A FOSTER HOME — ASAP. 😿

These babies are just tiny infants. They are scared, vulnerable and far too young to be out on their own. They need a warm, safe place where they can be cared for, loved and given the chance to grow into the happy, playful kittens they are meant to be.

🏠 Can you foster them?
You don't need to be an expert. Furvana will provide the support and supplies you need. What these babies desperately need is a safe room, some patience and someone willing to give them a chance.

🎉 Furvana Cat Rescue is turning TWO! 🎉

On September 16, we’ll celebrate two incredible years of saving lives, creating families, helping community cats, and showing up for the animals who need us most. What started as a dream has grown into something more meaningful than I ever could have imagined, and that is entirely because of the people who continue to believe in and support our mission. 🩵

We already have so many exciting things in the works for our third year, and I truly cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes us. Our plans are big, our hearts are full, and there are still so many lives waiting to be changed.

We are just leaving Dr. Paul’s office, and we got some encouraging news about our sweet Chucky. 🥹❤️‍🩹

The reason Chucky is still unable to open his eye is because scar tissue has formed inside his eyelid. Thankfully, the eye itself is completely healthy and fully functional. Once his face has completely healed, Dr. Paul said we can consider corrective surgery to help him open it again.

The damaged tissue across Chucky’s face and head is necrotic, so he may never look like the “average” cat, but Chucky has never been average. He is extraordinary. He is brave, endlessly loving and somehow still so trusting after everything he has endured.

He is expected to heal beautifully, and whether or not his face ever looks the way it once did could not matter less to us. Every scar will be proof that he survived. Chucky is perfect exactly as he is, and we feel incredibly lucky to help put the broken pieces of this beautiful boy back together.

With all of that being said, we would now love to open Chucky up to a foster-to-adopt home. We want to see him through the remainder of his recovery, but we also want him to begin settling in and forming a bond with the family who will love him forever.

As his foster-to-adopt family, you would not be responsible for any of Chucky’s medical expenses while he remains under Furvana’s care. His adoption would not be finalized until both Furvana and his veterinarian agree that he has fully recovered and is medically ready.

Chucky deserves to finish healing in a home where he can feel safe, cherished and completely loved. We know his forever family is out there, someone who will look at him and see exactly what we see: not his injuries or his scars, but the incredibly special soul underneath them. ❤️🐾

Please welcome Walter and Wilson back into Furvana’s care. 🤍

Last year, we had the privilege of placing these two handsome boys with a wonderful woman who loves them deeply. Unfortunately, she is now facing a housing crisis and reached out to ask if we could temporarily take Walter and Wilson back while she works through her situation.

Of course, we couldn’t, and wouldn’t, say no.

Our responsibility to a cat does not end the moment they are adopted. We make it very clear to every adopter that if they ever face a situation where they can no longer care for one of our cats, whether temporarily or permanently, they can come back to us, no questions asked. We never want a Furvana cat to end up abandoned, surrendered to a shelter, or placed into the hands of someone who may not protect them.

I just picked Walter and Wilson up. They are understandably scared and confused, but they are still the incredibly sweet boys we remember. Thankfully, one of our wonderful volunteers immediately stepped up to foster them while their mom gets back on her feet.

This is not a goodbye between them and their mom, it is Furvana keeping them safe until they can be reunited.

For now, please welcome our boys, Walter and Wilson, back into the Furvana family. We’ve got you, sweet boys. 🐾🤍
