We offer justice by creating opportunity within local and global communities to deliver practical kindness through a Purse with Purpose.

We seek to provide opportunities to act justly and do good with the purpose to renew dignity by meeting the unmet + basic needs of women experiencing adversity in our local and global community. We consider it unjust that women in our local community do not possess basic items such as daily hygiene products or simple household necessities. Women in global communities face unjustifiable circumstanc

e due to a lack resources to rise out of poverty or vital care to escape trafficking. From volunteer, community engagement, donor, and marketplace opportunities we deliver practical kindness by meeting the basic physical needs of vulnerable women through our purposeful partnerships in SW Colorado and global organizations. We believe that practical kindness addresses the true need of the recipient, and when basic needs are met joy, hope, and dignity arise. With the support of many, Power to Act offers justice through a Purse with Purpose, a sensible, needs-based handbag, donated to women experiencing homelessness or domestic violence in SW Colorado and handcrafted by women artisans in our global communities.

Sweet Sixteen - it's humbling to be here! Tears well up when we consider the privilege it is to celebrate another year of serving women locally + globally by providing Dignity First - uplifting women to a place of wholeness.

And that's exactly what our Birthday Campaign is all about, UPLIFTING survivors of domestic violence and women rescued from exploitation.

The preparations are nearly done, and although late, we cannot wait to celebrate with YOU!

We celebrated our Sweet 16 Birthday yesterday! There was no hype here in social because we were honored to spend time with people we love. It was a GREAT day!

However, we do have BIG plans for our Birthday Campaign! Truthfully, we are experiencing a delay with the said BIG plans...and this won't stop us from celebrating sixteen year of renewing dignity for women locally + globally.

For those determined to Spring Clean, we wanted to provide a few practical tips for a tidy + organized handbag....

1. Empty ALL contents of your handbag
2. SORT items into three piles = Trash + Keep + Put Away
4. CLEAN-SWEEP & rid your purse of any tidbits
3. CONTAIN random or small items in a suitable case
4. ORGANIZE your handbag to fit your life & utilize pockets

We are in the third donation cycle of 2026! It's a joy to purchase essential products + expertly pack handbags + deliver a Purse with Purpose to our local nonprofit partners.

Each donation cycle we distribute 100s of everyday products into the hands of survivors of domestic violence at no cost. When a woman receives a Purse with Purpose we know her everyday, basic physical needs have been met.
