Tonight didn’t end the way we hoped, but what a ride it has been.

To our Lady Canes - thank you for the heart, the grit, and the incredible season you gave our community. You carried Pamlico with you all the way to the State Championship, and we could not be prouder.

To our families, alumni, students, and community members who packed the stands, lined the roads, and sent support from home - thank you for sharing this excitement with us.

You reminded everyone what it means to be part of Hurricane Nation. You are heroes.

This season gave us memories we’ll be talking about for years.

And Lady Canes - we are proud of you. Always.

Please join us in thanking our girls for a great season and wishing them a safe journey home.

Tomorrow morning we send our Lady Canes off to the State Championship and we’d love for the community to help give them a send-off they’ll never forget. 🏀

The team will leave Pamlico County High School at 9:00 AM, and everyone is invited to line up and cheer them on.

🏀 Own a Piece of Pamlico County History! 🏀

The original Pamlico County High School gym floor is coming up — and we’re offering our community the chance to take home a piece of Hurricane history!

For generations, that floor has held championship games, pep rallies, senior nights, and unforgettable memories. Now you have the opportunity to preserve a piece of it while giving back.

💙 All proceeds will go directly to support athletics at PCMS and PCHS.

Tonight was definitely a night to remember! 🖤💛

Tonight was more than a game.

It was a full house. It was loud. It was proud. It was our community showing up in a way that makes your chest hurt a little in the best way.

Thank you for coming out to cheer on our girls. Thank you for packing the stands. Thank you for believing in them. They felt it. Every clap. Every stomp. Every shout.

And thank you for coming to say goodbye.

That gym has seen decades of grit, heartbreak, buzzer-beaters, pep rallies, banners raised, tears shed, and champions crowned. It has held generations of Hurricanes - and tonight it held us one more time.

To win in that building, in front of that crowd, on a night like this? That’s a memory that will stick.

We will move into a new chapter. New walls. New floors. New banners waiting to be hung.

But the heart? The heart goes with us. Because this is our community.

Thank you for showing up for our girls. Thank you for showing up for each other. And thank you, old gym, for everything.
