Bunkhouse Renovation Plans for “Camp Lakeshore”

Many of you remember the wall-to-wall bunk beds at the Rebuild Lakeshore Bunkhouse - and having to go out onto the porch to get to the bathroom!

As we transition to “Camp Lakeshore,” we have already added a new interior bathroom door. Now we are ready for the next step.

We would like to remove most of the bunk beds, give the room a thorough cleaning, add a fresh coat of paint, and bring in a queen-size bed. We will keep two or three bunks so the renovated room can still sleep six to eight people while providing a much more comfortable place for mission teams, retreat guests, visiting preachers, and families.

The image on the left shows how the room looks now. The image on the right is an AI-generated vision of what we hope it can become.

Would anyone like to come back to Lakeshore and help us make it happen? If you have stayed or served here before, we would love to have you join us for another project at the Rebuild Lakeshore Bunkhouse!

Please share this post, and let us know if you would like to help with the project.

And stay tuned - there are more Camp Lakeshore renovation plans to come!
