Hello,

I’m Dietra Burton, a secretary at Ochsner in Slidell, a proud mother of two, and grandmother of one. I’m family-oriented and love being surrounded by positivity.

I enjoy being involved in community activities, not only in Pearlington but in Bay St. Louis as well. Whether it’s Trunk or Treat for Halloween, the Bunny Hop for Easter, golf cart parades, or other local events, I participate whenever I’m available.

I joined KORP because of its name—Krewe of Real People. The name itself speaks volumes: real people! ♥️

My goal in serving the community is to promote positivity and help preserve the legacy of the ancestors of both Bay St. Louis and Pearlington for future generations.

My name is Aletris Thomas, and I'm a proud native of Waveland, Mississippi. I have been blessed to work for the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier for the past 12 years, and I truly enjoy serving my community every day.

I'm also the owner of Lee's Elevated Events, where I get to express my creativity by decorating and helping make special occasions unforgettable. I love seeing my clients smile when their vision comes to life.

Family means everything to me. I am the proud mother of my amazing son, Tayvon, and the loving grandmother of my beautiful granddaughter, Rylee. They are my greatest blessings and my biggest motivation.

Giving back has always been close to my heart. I am a member of Helping Hands in Waveland, Mississippi, and Krewe of Real People – The Next Generation. I joined both organizations because I believe in serving others and volunteering whenever I'm needed. There is nothing more rewarding than being able to make a positive difference in my community.

Being a part of the Krewe of Real People is something I truly enjoy. We always have a great time whenever we're together, and the friendships and memories we've built mean so much to me. Mardi Gras has always been my favorite time of the year because it brings people together to celebrate culture, community, and good times.

Whether I'm delivering mail, decorating events, volunteering, or spending time with my family, I strive to live a life of service, kindness, and joy. I believe in making every moment count and leaving every place a little better than I found it.

Laissez les bons temps rouler!
