There are moments in life that you don’t realize it’s actually coming to fruition.

Today was one of those days.

Our foundation’s book is ALMOST finished! This foundation was started in keeping our son’s legacy alive and not let someone suffer in silence like Will did. The pain, the questions, this journey we are walking, is slowly turning into a purpose. Every page of this children’s book, was written in love and the hope that it will reach someone who needs it most. This book isn’t just words on a page, it’s for the hurting, the searching, the ones who feel unseen, and the ones who need reminding they are not alone.

It’s hard to put into words what this means to us. This foundation has a purpose and God is leading us where we need to go.

Thank you to my girl squad who have put A LOT of work into this. Alyssa and Kelly, I can’t thank you enough for your hard work and dedication to something that means so much to our family.

Thank you to everyone who has supported our foundation, encouraged us, and walked alongside us. We can’t wait to share this with you soon.💙💛

Here’s a sneak peek💙💛

Our family never imagined us having to say we lost our child to su***de.

We lost our youngest son, Will, 8 years ago. Today is one of those days you know it’s coming but you still can’t wrap your head around your loss. And honestly, you really don’t know how you’re going to be when the day comes. Losing a child is a loss that is unexplainable and changes your entire life.

Will had a bright future ahead of him. He was deeply loved by his family and friends. Unfortunately, Will was struggling with depression and his mental health was not in a good place. He kept silent. He was only 17.

Mental health is real and it affects all age groups, social status, ethnicity, male/female. Su***de does not discriminate. We can’t stand by in silence while so many people are silently struggling. Check on your family and friends. That one question, “Are you ok?,” can save a life.

If you are struggling with your mental health, please reach out to someone. Don’t suffer in silence. There’s so many people who love you and will move Heaven and Earth to help you. You are not alone. You are seen. You are important.

You can also call or text 988 to speak with a counselor. 3 easy numbers. You will have brighter days. Things will get better. Just reach out to someone if you are struggling.

We miss Will more than anything. What we wouldn’t give to have 1 more day. We will continue to speak his name, continue his legacy thru our foundation and pray that God will help us reach as many people as possible that are struggling.

What an honor it was to give back to our community today!💙💛
Will’s Foundation, Southern Ionics, BCHS, Marilyn’s Hair Salon, Novelis and all the wonderful family and friends who donated coloring books, crayons, stuffed animals and books to help North Baldwin Hospital’s Emergency Room.
The emergency room serves hundreds of children and sometimes the children being seen have quite a long wait. The nurses needed items to give to those children.
Thank you North Baldwin Hospital for all your hard work.💙💛

Our foundation was truly honored to award Arya Orlik as the winner of our Christmas card contest.🎉
Arya attends Fairhope High School. Mr. Baggett submitted her art piece and we just knew she was the one! She was awarded with The Will Sanders Foundation merch and a bag filled with art supplies.
Mr. Baggett, we thank you for all you do in helping bring art into the lives of children!💙💛
Arya, keep up the good work! You are a very talented young lady and we can’t wait to see what your future holds.💙💛
Thanks to all the future artists who submitted their artwork. I was amazed at how much talent we have!
