Brother Herbert Titus Baskin Sr has laid down his Working Tools and Passed to the Celestial Lodge Above on September 20, 2025. He was 101 years old.
Military Service and Mason Rites will be given at the Veterans Cemetery on Hwy 225 in Spanish Fort: 34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, AL 36527
Monday October 6 at 1pm.
Bay Minette Lodge #498 will open Lodge at 11am.

Brother Baskin was a World War II Veteran and 75 year Mason. In the pictures you will see where he served as the Master of the Lodge in 1954-55. Also in the other picture the night he received his 75 year pin, he is holding the original petition he filled out and the apron that was presented to him in 1950. We were Blessed to meet one of the Men from the Greatest Generation our Country has ever seen!

What an absolute honor it was for Bay Minette Lodge 498 to celebrate 75 years in Freemasonry for one of our members last night. Brother Herbert Titus Baskin joined our Lodge and Fraternity in 1950. He is 101 years old and a Veteran of World War II. We were truly honored and humbled to have him in Lodge last night. Great food and Great Fellowship!

Please join us September 18 at Bay Minette Lodge 498. We will be celebrating Brother Herbert T Baskins 75 years in Masonry and membership at our Lodge. These momentous events do not come along often. We will Open Lodge at 6pm, break for a meal then proceed with 75 year pin presentation!
