The Junior Service League of Bay City, Texas will strive to fulfill our mis
sion in two ways - by sending volunteers into the community to fill needs in non-profit organizations and by raising funds to provide financial assistance to organizations that work to meet our community needs. The League was founded in 1959 by a group of 8 remarkable women who realized that the best way to make a difference in the life of their community was by working together. Although this idea is not a new concept in towns all over the country and indeed the world, what makes the Bay City JSL unique is the very community itself – the faces within it, the colorful mixture of talents and personalities, the businesses, the neighbors, and most importantly, the people. In all that we do as an organization, the League strives to support the town and county we call home.
