Patrick’s Day Races presented by Jolt Credit Union will take place Sunday, March 19, 2023! The Irish Double will have 1,000 spots available so register early to guarantee your spot in this year's historic event! Race registration prices are as follows*:

5K RUN, 5K WALK, 8K RUN - $25 Before January 1
5K RUN, 5K WALK, 8K RUN - $28 Beginning January 1

IRISH DOUBLE (5K Run & 8K Run) - $40 Before Jan

IRISH DOUBLE with St. Pat's Shirt (2 shirts) - $50 Before January 1
IRISH DOUBLE with St. Pat's Shirt (2 shirts) - $55 Beginning January 1

LEPRECHAUN RACES (1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, 1 mile) - $8

The IRISH DOUBLE is limited to 1,000 runners. Pat's medal and a second 3" Irish Double medal as well as a black shirt with "Irish Double Finisher" on the sleeve. There is an option to register with BOTH the black shirt and the green St. Pat's shirt for an additional $10. This year’s race is planned as an on-site event in Downtown Bay City. We ask that participants please read the refund policy and waivers prior to registering. The BARC Fitness Expo presented by Covenant HealthCare will be held at Bay City Central High School on Saturday, March 18 from 10AM -2PM

The Leprechaun Races presented by LeBourdais Orthodontics (for the kids) will be held on the Bay City Central High School Track at 2PM on Saturday, March 18 - immediately following the Fitness Expo. The BARC Bay City St. Patrick’s Day Races presented by Jolt Credit Union take place Sunday, March 19 in Downtown Bay City

8K Run Start Time: 9AM Location: Corner of Center Avenue and Washington Avenue

5K Run Start Time: 11:00AM Location: Near the intersection of Adams Street and Center Avenue*

5K Walk Start Time: 11:10AM Location: Near the intersection of Adams Street and Center Avenue*

* The 5K Run and Walk will stage along Adams Street between Center Avenue and 7th Street. Walkers please stage behind the run group; closer to 7th Street

Weather have you concerned the race may be cancelled? “Bad weather” is not cause for cancellation of a running event. Snow, rain and wind are all pretty standard conditions in Mid-Michigan this time of year. The City of Bay City will do its best to ensure roads are cleared for race day.

“Dangerous” weather (i.e., blizzard, tornado, lightning, etc.) would justify cancellation of a race. If any of those should occur, or if the City deems conditions to be unsafe, then notification will go out to registrants about cancellation and next steps.

We encourage registrants to attend this year’s BARC Race Expo presented by Covenant HealthCare to pick up your race shirts and bibs - regardless of whether you plan to run Sunday.

We are optimistic that the weather will be more pleasant than predicted and can’t wait to see the sea of green crossing the start line!
