Bay City Noon Optimist By providing hope and positive vision, Optimists bring out the best in kids. What is an Optimist Club? The Optimist Club motto is "Friend of Youth”.

An Optimist Club is a group of concerned citizens joining together to help the youth in their community. Working directly with young people in their community, Optimist Club
members organize and conduct many types of events and programs for youth. Each Optimist Club tailors its service
activities to meet the needs of its community. Often, an Optimist Club will respond to a special local need... b

y providing
relief to disaster victims, or by building athletic fields, or by sponsoring youth bands or choral groups... anything is possible
to an Optimist Club member! Funding for an Optimist Club's projects is generated from within that club's community,
and the funds generated tend to stay there... Where they can do the most good.

Our first Wednesday in the Park Summer Series kicked off yesterday with 125 kids at a Dance Party with DennyB. Thank you Denny for the great playlist that had the kids hopping, bopping, getting high and low and putting your whole body in. Special thanks to Bay City Public Schools for the free lunch and Bay County Library for the free book.

At our luncheon this past Tuesday we had the pleasure of delivering a check to Jennifer Naegele, council director for Girls on the Run - Great Lakes Bay.

Jennifer shared information about Girls on the Run, statistics and feedback from some of the girls who have participated in the program.

Our fundraising events such as the upcoming golf scramble, Camel Races and Travel & Adventure Film Series allow the Club to help fund these very important community programs.
