Small hands, big impact! 🌎✨

Our Cub Scouts were out in full force yesterday for Scout Trash Day! We met up at the courthouse and spent the morning making our city shine. We are beyond proud of these scouts for rolling up their sleeves and showing what it means to care for our community.

Feeling the local pride today! 🌊✨

A huge shout-out to Matagorda County Coastal & Marine Resources for organizing such an incredible Spring Adopt-A-Beach Cleanup at Palacios Beach. It’s amazing what happens when a community rolls up its sleeves.

Check out these stats from today’s haul:

50 Volunteers (The heart and soul of the day!)

43 Bags of Trash (Including the "kitchen sink"—literally!)

Micro-Plastics (Crucial work removing the small stuff that hurts our ecosystem.)

It was inspiring to see so much stewardship in action. Huge thanks to:
All the volunteers who came out to help, MidCoast Master Naturalists for managing the event and keeping things running smoothly.
Palacios Prairie Wetlands for keeping everyone hydrated! 💧The future of our coast is in good hands with you guys.

Special Thanks: A huge shout-out to Matagorda County Coastal & Marine Resources for taking the time to teach the scouts about seining and water quality testing! It wasn't just a cleanup; it was a hands-on lesson in marine biology that these kids won't soon forget. 🦀🧪

Keeping our beaches clean isn't just about the view; it’s about protecting the home we share. Thanks to everyone who came out to make Palacios shine! 🌎💙

A huge thank you to the Houston Rockets for an incredible Scout Night!🏀 Our scouts had an absolute blast—especially when we saw our group featured on the big screen! 🎥✨

The Rockets definitely put on a show with that massive 140–106 win! We’re still riding that high, but we’re already looking forward to our next big day out.

Next up: Adopt-a-Beach on April 18th! 🌊. We can’t wait to get back out there and make a difference. See you all then!

Celebrating a Sweet Success! 🎂

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our pack’s Annual Cake Auction! We are overwhelmed by the community’s generosity and spirit.

We want to extend our sincere gratitude to:

• The VFW for graciously hosting us and providing the perfect space for our event.

• Sheriff DeLeon for doing a fantastic job as our auctioneer and keeping the energy high!

• Our Incredible Judges: A special thanks to Judge Bobby Seiferman, Council Member Jim Folse, and Jessica Shepard with the Bay City Sentinel. You had the toughest job of the night picking winners among so many masterpieces!

• Our Dedicated Leaders and Families – we truly couldn't have pulled this off without your hard work and behind-the-scenes magic.

To our Scouts: Your cakes were amazing! 📢 SURPRISE ALERT: We have a special surprise for every Scout who brought a cake....See you at the next meeting!

Because of all of you, this auction was a massive success. We can’t wait to see what next year brings! ⚜️
