Please join us 1 week from today for the annual food drive at the Frankenmuth Kroger. This event helps to stock the pantry and overstock area shelves. At 10am there will be a 9/11 Memorial to Remember and Honor those who lost their lives that day. Board Member Jill Shorkey will open the event performing the National Anthem. A few Soldiers from the 919th Army Reserve will take part along with K9 Hero Guardians who will Represent and Honor all First Responders who lost their lives that day.
National Recording Artist, 11 time Grammy Award Nominee Danny Wilde is donating his time to perform and support our cause. He was a vocalist for 2 years with Steppenwolf and later went on to perform with Bob Seger, Bon Jovi, Ted Nugent, Journey, Prince and many more. Danny has been the Top Male Vocalist in Las Vegas the last 10 years. He will be performing at the event from 11:30am until 2pm.
2026 Mrs. Michigan Universe International Carol Nichols will be making an appearance from noon until 2pm.

Three weeks from today is the food drive at the Frankenmuth Kroger to stock up our pantry shelves. We are having two special guests that afternoon for everyone to enjoy. National Recording Artist Danny Wilde will be performing and is donating his time to support our cause. He was the vocalist for 2 years for Steppenwolf and years later Bob Seger, Ted Nugent, Prince, Temptations, Boston, Kansas, Styx and so many others. Danny has done world wide tours and has had 11 Grammy nominations. Our second guest is Carol Nichols who is the 2026/ Mrs Michigan Universe International. Her appearance times are from noon-2pm. Please share and visit our table to enjoy the fun 🇺🇸

Casino Social at the CLC — Freedom 250 Week 🎉

Yesterday, our Community Living Center (CLC) inpatients enjoyed a spirited Casino Social as part of our week‑long Freedom 250 celebrations. From blackjack to roulette, dealers guided first‑time players and everyone had fun winning play money—no real gambling involved.

Special thanks to our incredible Recreation Therapy team and Center for Development & Civic Engagement (CDCE) for making this event possible.

Additional recognition to Deke’s ParaDice, LLC for bringing the equipment and professional dealers, and to the Maier & Associates Charitable Foundation whose generous sponsorship covered the casino experience.

CDCE and Recreation Therapy also hosted a festive Mocktail Bar (staff‑supported), making the afternoon feel like a true night out right on our campus.
