Bay City TNR Cats Saving cats while declining the community cat population!

Happy Halloween from all of us at Feline Fund! 😸

As you open your doors for trick-or-treaters tonight, don’t forget to keep your indoor cats safe — with all the excitement, even the sneakiest kitty might try to slip outside!🙀

And while we’re talking Halloween… let’s give a little extra love to our black cats 🐈‍⬛ like the one in our graphic. They’re often misunderstood this time of year, but we know they’re full of charm, magic, and love every single day. 😻

Stay spooky, stay safe, and give your feline friends an extra treat tonight!

🐾 On National Cat Day, it’s not just about the adorable pet cats — it’s also about the countless community cats who live outdoors, often unseen and unheard. These cats deserve compassion, care, and advocacy.

Here’s why supporting community cats matters:

💜 Health & Safety: Community cats often face hunger, disease, and harsh weather. Programs like TNVR (Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return) help manage populations humanely while keeping them healthier.

❤️ Ecosystem Balance: Well-managed community cat colonies can coexist with local wildlife and neighborhoods. Unchecked populations, however, can lead to suffering.

💙 Voiceless Vulnerability: They can’t ask for food, shelter, or medical care. Advocating for them—through spay/neuter programs, safe feeding, or shelters—is giving them a voice they otherwise don’t have.

🫶Ways To Make a Difference:
💰 Donate to local cat organizations
⏰ Volunteer your time to local cat groups
💪 Support TNVR initiatives
💦 Provide vet care, shelter, food, & water for outdoor cats
💻 Spread awareness on social media—help others see the importance of caring for community cats.

On this National Cat Day, let’s remember: celebrating cats isn’t just about the ones on our laps, but also about lifting up those without a home or a voice. 🐱💛
