Final results are in for the season, and for the first time in 6 years, the Bears finished out of the top 2 in the conference standings finishing third by about 100 points behind champion Minnewauska Area and Spring Lake Park. We dominated the top ten in week 5 but overall our scores in the middle and bottom were too low to keep second place. Brant Baron was second in the male division in the conference and Andrew Higgins and Bryce Hasbargen were tied for third. In the female division, Ally Higgins and Amanda Anderson tied for third.
The Bears will represented at the MSHSL Top 100 meet for the 9th consecutive year as senior Brant Baron made the top 100 with a 238/250. Missing out by one clay were Andrew Higgins and Bryce Hasbargen. The Top 100 shoot is the week after Alexandria in Prior Lake.
Thank you to everyone who has shown their support for the Bears Trap team. A special shout out to Outdoors Again, Hardware Hank, the American Legion, Whitetails Unlimited, and the Sheriff's Dept for their support.
I would like to personally thank all the shooters we have had over the past 14 years as I make my last trip as head coach to Alexandria and Prior Lake. It has been a joy to watch our shooters improve over the years. It has been an honor to be your coach. You are in fine hands next year with Shayla Risser and Tanner Nordlof.
