Ladies and Gentlemen, the family and CMAC-Community Military Appreciation Committee have requested the Patriot Guard Riders as well as community to stand during the “Never To Be Forgotten” ceremony for PFC Christopher “Ian” Walz, US Army. PFC WALZ, while assigned to Company “C”, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, was killed on 27 Oct 2009 in Aghandab Valley, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an IED. There were 6 other team members killed in his vehicle.

This ceremony will be conducted to honor and remember PFC Walz and his family during which time military honors will be provided by the AMVETS Post #16 of Woodland, WA.

Please join with us to honor a True American Hero and his family as we Never Forget.

PFC JERRY L JOHNSON SR, (68), US ARMY (Vietnam Veteran) / 20 March 2021, Camas, WA

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders. We have been requested by the family of PFC Jerry L Johnson Sr. to stand the Flag Line in honor of his faithful and honorable service to our country. PFC Johnson served in the US Army during the Vietnam War Era, 1970-1973 and received a special Letter of Appreciation from the President of The United States of America.

Jerry is a personal friend of our PGR member and Funeral Director, Ron Brown. Jerry has been personally making wooden shadow boxes for veteran families over the past several years as his way of honoring their service to our country.

Please join with me in honoring a hero as he receives Full Military Honors provided by the US Army, supplemented by the AMVETS of WA, Post #16. Military Honors will occur at beginning of chapel services.

Capt Fredrick N. Smith, US Army Air Corps, WWII Veteran, Vancouver

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Patriot Guard Riders; we have been invited to take part in a Celebration of Life honoring Mr. Fredrick N. Smith, Jr. Mr. Smith was born on March 23, 1922 and entered the US Army Air Corps in December of 1942. Captain Smith saw action all over the European and African Theaters of Operations flying nearly every aircraft in the American inventory (including the P-35, P-39, P-40, P-47, P-51, B-25 and several training, transport and
British aircraft). Mr. Smith’s awards include the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with 6 Oak Leaf Clusters, the Presidential Unit Citation, 4 Overseas Service Bars, the American Defense Medal with Ribbon, the Europe Africa Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 7 Bronze Stars and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Smith was honorably discharged on November 18, 1945. Please join me in honoring this member of our Greatest Generation!
