It was a fantastic night celebrating Johanna Hyatt at the Battle Ground Citizen of the Year reception.

The room was full of friends & family sharing support and love for Johanna.

Prairie Tavern did a fantastic job hosting the space and providing fruit & veggie apps.

Be sure to attend the Rose Planting at 9:00 July 18th just before the parade.

Johanna has been dedicated to volunteering and serving the Battle Ground community since 2013. She has held numerous leadership roles with the GFWC organization including President 2017-2019 & 2022-2025. She has chaired the Ladybug bazaar for the last 7 years which helps raise funds to support many local projects. She is an active member of Friends of the Battle Ground Library and volunteers regularly at Ben’s Books within the library. She was instrumental in establishing the Little Free Library near city hall. She volunteers or helps manage projects benefiting several nonprofits in our community including but not limited to Comfort Quilts with Clark County Quilters, North County Community Food Bank, Family Resource Center, Battle Ground Senior Citizens, and the Lions Club.

Today was the day we surprised the 2025 Battle Ground Citizen of the year!! Congrats to Johanna Hyatt. She was nominated by many for her countless hours of service to several organizations in our community. Stay tuned for reception date & time to celebrate this special lady!
