Zero Day Zero Day is powered by veterans, for veterans and their communities. Zero Day is a process, not a program.

We are led by active military personnel, business and community leaders, experts in community planning and revitalization, counselors, and military support personnel. We offer an avenue which allows veterans to play a significant role in re-defining communities through their commitment to “service before self.”

On day one, Zero Day candidates receive coaching and vocational preparation, moving quickly to on-the-job experiences and skills training based on his/her unique talents, needs and life goals. Through Zero Day, veterans find dignified, affordable housing, receive skills training, and are given job placement or entrepreneurial opportunities that are consistent with our vision, mission and goals.

We would like to congratulate CPT Josh Smith on his recent accomplishment while competing in and winning the Big Red Classic, this win is much deserved. CPT Josh has been supporting Zero-Day for the past three years by taking veterans out on the big lake and consistently putting them on fish, often times limiting out, but it’s not just the opportunity to catch fish that he provides, it extends well past that, it is his willingness to listen and provide a space for veterans to clear their minds and just have fun. The smiles and laughter are contagious out there and leave you longing for the next opportunity to get back out and enjoy the fellowship and escape the real world if only for a few hours. Thank you Josh and The Outdoorsmen Pro Shop!

Presidential Brewing Company once again goes above and beyond to support the Veteran Community. Zero Day was proud to accept yet another check from their Buy a Vet a B**r Program. We are also very humbled and appreciative to receive additional support from the Portage Rotary Club fundraiser that Presidential Brewing coordinated. Please know that your continued support makes a difference. If you haven’t had a chance to sample the amazing b**r at Presidential Brewing Company, you are missing out. Go out and support these amazing people!

Bobby will truly be missed by us all. He created many great opportunities for our Veterans and our organization while bringing so much joy to all that new him

The world has lost a remarkable man. The Path Foundation mourns the loss of one of its founding members Bob Knoop—a true leader, visionary, and inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His tireless commitment to bringing the less fortunate outdoors, whether through hunting, fishing, or simply connecting with nature, has left an enduring legacy. His work fostered friendships and bonds between children and adults who might have otherwise never crossed paths, creating a sense of community that will continue to be cherished. Your absence will be profoundly felt, and your memory will be forever honored.
