Dear Friends, Members, and Supporters,

On behalf of the NAACP - Battle Creek Branch, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to EVERYONE that made the 2026 Freedom Fund Gala an AMAZING success!!

Whether you purchased a ticket, placed an ad in the book, made a financial contribution, volunteered your time, donated goods or services, helped with planning or simply offered words of encouragement and support, please know I appreciated EVERYTHING!!

I recognize that there are many worthy causes seeking your time, finances and attention. I am truly grateful that you decided to invest in the NAACP Battle Creek’s work in the Battle Creek Community.

Your generosity allows us to continue the work in civil rights protection, voter education, advocacy, youth development, addressing racial discrimination and working toward a more equitable stronger community.

To our sponsors, community partners, members, volunteers, honorees and everyone who contributed in big and small ways, THANK YOU!! We could not have done it without you.

The 2026 Freedom Fund Gala may be over, but our work is not done. Our theme, “We The People,” reminds us that meaningful change happens when we come together with a shared purpose.

I hope you will continue to walk beside us as we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those we serve.

Together we are stronger! Together we are better! Together we will make a difference!

With sincere gratitude,

Sanita Virgil
