On Saturday, April 25, Battle Creek was the setting for an inspiring event: the Pitch Business Prize, organized by Battle Creek Food Reimagined in collaboration with Voces.
During this event, we had the privilege of meeting six entrepreneurs from our community who presented projects filled with vision, preparation, and passion. Each presentation went far beyond a business idea, it was an authentic journey through their beginnings, challenges, and future aspirations. These were stories that reflected resilience, dedication, and a strong commitment to turning dreams into reality.
The event featured a distinguished panel of judges, including
Noe Rizo, Senior Director of Research & Development at WK Kellogg Co;
Rocio Rodriguez Arias, Lead Product Developer at WK Kellogg Co;
and Diego Sandoval, Business Consultant at the Michigan Small Business Development Center.
Each of them contributed their expertise, insight, and strategic perspective in evaluating the proposals. We also recognize the valuable participation of Jose Aste, Innovation Counselor focused on supporting and guiding entrepreneurs, who served as Master of Ceremonies and led the event with energy, professionalism, and a strong connection to the audience.
We extend our sincere thanks to Battle Creek Food Reimagined for providing our entrepreneurs with access to essential capital that will help strengthen, grow, and sustain their businesses. Initiatives like this not only support individual ventures but also create a meaningful impact on the local economy.

El pasado sábado 25 de abril, Battle Creek fue escenario de un inspirador evento: el Pitch Business Prize, organizado por Battle Creek Food Reimagined en colaboración con Voces.
Durante esta jornada, tuvimos el privilegio de conocer a seis emprendedores de nuestra comunidad, quienes presentaron proyectos llenos de visión, preparación y pasión. Cada presentación fue mucho más que una idea de negocio: fue un recorrido auténtico por sus inicios, sus desafíos y sus aspiraciones futuras. Historias que reflejan esfuerzo, resiliencia y el firme compromiso de transformar sueños en realidades.
El evento contó con la participación de un destacado panel de jueces, integrado por:

Asimismo, destacamos la valiosa participación de Jose Aste, Innovation Counselor enfocado en el acompañamiento y desarrollo de emprendedores, quien fungió como maestro de ceremonias y condujo el evento con dinamismo, profesionalismo y cercanía con el público.
