It's Bruin Boo day! As with previous years, the best place to park will be in one of the lots on the north side of campus as indicated; the Circle Drive will be closed to vehicle traffic. It will be busy, so please be careful and patient!

If this is your first Bruin Boo, please plan on a long line. The event starts at 6 p.m. but often the line is wrapped down the Circle Drive and around the Roll Building well before that. We do have some fun stuff planned to keep kids busy through the line so hopefully the wait won't feel too long!

NOTE: This is last year's map; there are some slight differences with the route this year we think you'll all enjoy, but the parking areas and start are unchanged from previous years.

10/22/26 UPDATE: KCC platforms, including Moodle and Starfish, have been restored following disruptions outside the College. Thank you for your patience while services were impacted.

ORIGINAL MESSAGE FROM 10/21/26:

Please note the following message from KCC's IT Department:

Some campus systems are currently impacted by a widely reported security vulnerability affecting PHP-based applications.

This includes Moodle, Starfish and certain other web-based tools that rely on PHP. IT is actively working with vendors and applying patches to restore full service as quickly as possible.

What you may notice:

> Temporary outages or intermittent access to Moodle, Starfish, and related services
> Delays when logging in or loading pages
> Scheduled maintenance windows as systems are updated

What you should do:

> Check back later if a system is unavailable
> Watch your student email and the campus website for status updates
> Continue using other unaffected systems (such as Self-Service) as normal
> Do not attempt to work around login issues by sharing credentials or using unofficial sites

Your student data remains protected. Please note this is a proactive response to a known industry-wide vulnerability, not a confirmed breach of our systems.

Students had a chance to explore program options at KCC's Program Exploration Fair on campus last week!

Participants had the opportunity to meet program faculty, advisors and students to learn about different academic programs and career paths.

The event preceded KCC’s Transfer Fair, where students interested in transfer can connect with admissions reps from other colleges and universities, ask question and explore options for their studies after KCC. That event will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Oct. 20, in the Kellogg Room.
