Dear Parents and Caregivers,

In consultation with Dell Children's Medical Center and Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, the Autism Society of America and Autism Society Texas invite you, as a parent or guardian of a child with Autism, to complete a survey about water safety. The purpose of the study is to learn more about you and your child’s experiences with water safety and seeking or taking swimming lessons (whether or not your child attended swimming lessons).

To qualify, you will be a primary caregiver of a child with Autism under the age of 18 and live within the United States. The survey will take approximately 20-45 minutes to complete.

Your participation will help inform efforts to improve water safety messaging and to make it easier for children with Autism to find and participate in swimming lessons, with the ultimate aim of reducing drowning in this high-risk group.
