On this day of reflection and action, we honored Dr. King’s legacy by cutting the ribbon on a future of opportunity. A Boys & Girls Club member led the way, symbolizing the young lives we’re here to uplift.

We’re humbled by the support: a $7,000 contribution from Councilwoman Tewana Harris (District 7) and an incredible $400,000 commitment from Cox Communications.

With these partnerships, the dream is real. The foundation is laid. Now, inspired by MLK’s vision, the work begins.

A historic night for North Baton Rouge.

We officially celebrated the Grand Opening of the Inspiration Center, surrounded by community leaders, partners, and supporters who believe in the power of access, opportunity, and unity.

We were honored to hear from Mayor-President Sid Edwards, who spoke to the lasting impact this building will have on our city and the people it was built to serve.

This center stands as a symbol of what’s possible when vision meets commitment.
The work continues, and the future is bright.

A major step forward for the Inspiration Center.😁

LECJF held its November Board Meeting inside the building for the very first time — a reminder of how far this project has come and how close we are to opening our doors on MLK Day 2026. 🤝

Our Owner’s Rep and real estate developer, Chris Ferrari, walked the board through construction updates and exciting next steps as interior work continues.

This center will serve youth, families, and North Baton Rouge for generations.🫡

This year’s National Night Out Against Crime brought families, youth, and law enforcement together at Howell Park for an evening of connection, conversation, and community strength.
Every handshake, every smile, every conversation helps create safer neighborhoods across our city. We’re proud to stand alongside our partners and the residents of North Baton Rouge as we continue building trust and empowering the next generation.

The building is nearing its finish, but our work isn’t! We still need your support! October board meeting was a success! This is the last off site board meeting. The following meetings will be in the Inspiration Center! Thank you Sheriff Whitehorn for visiting us and letting us know of the great work being done in Caddo Parish!

BRPD came to tour the Inspiration Center! 👮‍♂️

We discussed adding safety measures to protect the children that will utilize the building, day to day operations, and even creating an environment for the officers have fun with the kids😄

We are thankful for BRPD and their involvement in making the Inspiration Center special🤝
