✨Jacksonville Recap✨

This past week the EnvisioNBR team attended the 2026 Prosperity Starts With Place National Conference.

Spaces like this remind us why the work matters.
Surrounded by leaders and residents committed to change, we shared ideas, built connections, and renewed the passion to keep going.

The momentum doesn’t stop here.

Power has always lived in the people.

The third stop on the Legacy Trail honors the fight for Black voting rights in Baton Rouge. From Reconstruction to the barriers of Jim Crow, the right to vote was challenged, but never surrendered.

Leaders like Gus Young organized, united communities, and helped build movements like the First Ward Voters League to push for representation and change.

The message still stands today: organize, advocate, and vote.
