🐮🙏We’re grateful for Senator Cassidy’s willingness to support our mission and help us continue serving our neighbors with dignity, compassion, and care.

At the Christian Outreach Center of Baton Rouge, every bag of groceries is more than just food, it’s a reminder that our community cares.

Thank you, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, for helping us continue that work. 💜

🎓 Celebrating New Beginnings at The O’Brien House! 🎓

What a joy to celebrate the first graduating class of our Job Readiness & Financial Education program with The O’Brien House Recovery Center!

We are incredibly proud of these nine graduates who have worked hard, grown in confidence, and taken important steps toward a brighter and more stable future. 👏

And we had two graduates who couldn’t be with us for the ceremony—because they were already at work! 🙌 That’s the kind of success we love to celebrate!

At the Christian Outreach Center, we believe that meaningful change happens when people are equipped with the tools, encouragement, and opportunities they need to move forward.

Congratulations to all of our graduates! Your story is still being written, and we can’t wait to see what comes next. 💜

Christ-Centered Help. Lasting Change.

Congratulations to each graduate on this incredible achievement! We can’t wait to see what God has in store as you put these new skills into action.

A special thank you to our partners, instructors, and supporters who make these life-changing opportunities possible. Together, we’re creating pathways to hope, employment, and lasting change.

A huge thank you to the amazing youth from First Presbyterian Church for serving with us this week at the Christian Outreach Center! 💜

Your energy, hard work, and servant hearts helped prepare groceries for families in our Grocery Assistance Program, making a real difference for neighbors facing food insecurity. Because of volunteers like you, we’re able to provide hope and practical support to families across our community.

Thank you for giving your time, working with excellence, and demonstrating the love of Christ through your service. We are incredibly grateful for your partnership and look forward to serving together again!

Every purchase and every donation at The Purple Cow helps create opportunities for lasting change.

This week, our Christian Outreach Center Job Readiness class held mock interviews, giving participants the chance to practice answering real interview questions, build confidence, and receive valuable feedback before meeting with employers.

For many, a successful interview is the first step toward stable employment, financial independence, and a brighter future.

When you shop or donate at The Purple Cow, you’re doing more than finding great deals—you’re helping provide practical tools, training, and encouragement that empower people to change their lives.

A huge thank you to Grace Life Community Church for serving alongside us this week through our Grocery Assistance Program! Your willingness to volunteer is making a real difference for families throughout our community.

Each week, together with our incredible partners, we help ensure that neighbors facing food insecurity receive nutritious groceries delivered right to their homes. We are especially grateful to the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank for providing the food and to DoorDash for helping make home delivery possible.

When churches, nonprofits, and community partners come together, lives are changed.

Thank you, Grace Life Community Church, for being the hands and feet of Christ and for helping us bring hope, dignity, and practical support to those who need it most.

At The Christian Outreach Center, Job Readiness is about more than preparing a résumé—it’s about creating pathways to meaningful employment.

One of the ways we do that is by bringing employers and workforce training partners directly into our classes, giving participants the opportunity to learn about careers, ask questions, and connect with organizations that can help them take the next step toward self-sufficiency.

We’re grateful to recently welcome ResponsAble, EmployBR, and the Baton Rouge Health District for sharing valuable employment and training opportunities with our participants. These partnerships help bridge the gap between job seekers and the resources they need to build brighter futures.

Thank you to each of these organizations for investing in our community and helping our neighbors move from hardship to hope.
