We stand in solidarity with their families, friends, and the Bangladeshi student community across the United States during this incredibly difficult time.

These awards reflect the dedication, teamwork, and passion of our members, volunteers, and community who continuously work to build a vibrant, inclusive, and supportive environment at LSU. From cultural celebrations to community engagement, every effort has contributed to this achievement.

With great joy and gratitude, the Bangladeshi Students’ Association (BSA) at Louisiana State University proudly celebrated Pohela Boishakh 1433 on April 11, bringing together the Bangladeshi community in Baton Rouge to welcome the Bengali New Year with culture, tradition, and togetherness.

It was a truly memorable evening filled with vibrant cultural performances, laughter, and a strong sense of unity. We were delighted to enjoy authentic Bangladeshi cuisine , especially the beloved Hilsha fish (Ilish) making the celebration even more special. It was truly a great night of Bangladeshi food, Bangladeshi culture, and Bangladeshi people.
During the program, we also had the honor of congratulating our Fall graduates for successfully earning their graduate degrees. Your hard work and achievements make our community proud, and we wish you continued success in your future journeys.

This beautiful celebration would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our amazing volunteers, who made the decoration and event atmosphere truly outstanding. We sincerely appreciate the guidance and support provided in leading the team and helping make this event a success.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and supported BSA. Your enthusiasm and community spirit continue to inspire us to organize meaningful events for our LSU family.

On February 15, 2026, BSA proudly hosted the BSA Lawn Tennis Tournament 2026, marking the first-ever lawn tennis tournament organized by BSA LSU!
It was truly exciting to see such great enthusiasm and impressive performances on the court throughout the day.
Here are the official results:

Men’s Singles
Champion: Mukseet Mahmood
Runner-Up: Shahriar Mahmud

Men’s Doubles
Champions: Mukseet Mahmood & Saifur Rahman Tushar
Runner-Up: Mostofa Wahid & Khandakar Rakibur Hasan

Congratulations to all the champions and runner-ups for their outstanding performances!

A special thanks to the BSA Sports Committee, especially Asif Faysal Chowdhury and Shafikul Islam Sohan, for successfully organizing three major sports events - Short Pitch Cricket, Badminton, and Lawn Tennis, over two consecutive weekends. We had an unexpectedly impressive number of participants in every event, which truly reflects the enthusiasm within our community. Their thoughtful planning, coordination, and dedication made these tournaments not only successful but also highly entertaining for everyone involved.

A huge thank you to all the participants, volunteers, and supporters who made this historic event successful.

We hope this is just the beginning and look forward to organizing many more exciting lawn tennis tournaments in the future. Stay tuned!

On February 14, 2026, BSA proudly hosted the BSA Badminton Championship 2026, bringing together our amazing players for a day full of competition, energy, and sportsmanship. It was truly exciting to see such incredible talent and enthusiasm on the court!

BSA (LSU) short-pitch men’s and women’s cricket tournament was held on February 7, 2026. Six men’s teams and two women’s teams competed in the tournament, making it a day full of excitement and friendly competition.
The event was filled with fun, teamwork, and great sportsmanship, bringing our community together on and off the field. Laughter, cheering, and some thrilling moments made the day truly memorable.

On January 31, BSA at LSU organized the Freshers’ Reception & Pitha উৎসব at the LSU Student Union Ballroom.

পিঠা শুধু একটু খাবার নয়; পিঠা আমাদের শৈশবের স্মৃতি, গ্রামবাংলার উষ্ণতা আর প্রজন্ম থেকে প্রজন্মে বয়ে চলা সংস্কৃতির এক জীবন্ত অংশ।

It was truly a pleasure to have everyone under the same roof and celebrate together with such amazing energy, culture, and togetherness. The event would not have been this successful without the dedication and hard work of our incredible volunteers.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended, supported, and contributed to making this evening memorable.
Here’s to many more gatherings ahead - Geaux Tigers!

Today we remember the bravery and sacrifices that gave us our freedom. Victory Day is not just a date, it’s a feeling of pride, resilience, and gratitude for those who fought so we could stand free today.

As Bangladeshis, we carry this history in our hearts and honor it by staying united and remembering where we come from.

9th November 2025 night will always be an unforgettable night for the Bangladeshi community in Louisiana. At the LSU Student Union Royal Cotillion Ballroom, we experienced something truly special — for the first time ever in Louisiana, legendary Bangladeshi bands like Aurthohin and Tanjir Tuhin performed live, brought here by the BSA at LSU. The energy, the crowd, the pride… it felt like a huge moment for our whole community. Definitely a night to remember.
