It is with great sadness that I share the loss of one of our former chapter and state board members. Davis played a key role in our formative days and brought common sense and good ideas to the table. We have lost another good one. Our sincere condolences to his lovely bride, Becky, who worked alongside him for decades and helped us in many ways as well.

Our industry was greatly influenced by the incredible knowledge of Frank O’Donnell. I was saddened to hear of his passing and extend our condolences to his family.
Frank served in many capacities within our association from the Lower River Region Chapter to the state association. When we needed industry direction for our association, Frank played a key role with his incredible willingness to share his broad knowledge and experience.

Training by Catherine Bares for your consideration …
As times get tougher in the Sales game, so must you! Catherine Bares will be leading the upcoming Customer Experience University, which can give you and your team an advantage in scheduling the sales appointments and nurturing the leads conveniently in a virtual atmosphere. Time is running out for our upcoming event. Customer Experience University | BDR Feb 15-16, 2024 Start 2024 off with strong processes to win the appointments!
Interesting statistics in the world of sales today:
Statistically, 20-30% of sales calls will close at the kitchen table.
This means 70-80% of leads ran will move into the Sales Cadence (Structured Sales Follow up Process).
77% of “pending’ sales leads will close between the 3rd to 5th follow up contact.
A strong and managed sales cadence is very important to success in your sales Dept.

This course teaches you how to implement a structured retail process for your sales and install coordinators that help build long-lasting customer relationships and positions the company for referrals.

Are you complying with Louisiana Codes and Standards when installing HVACR equipment for your customers? REVISED codes were updated and went into effect on July 1, 2023!
Below is the legislation you will want to familiarize yourself with in order to be within the legal guidelines.
Some important issues that you should be aware of:
1) R8 ductwork is now required on all new ductwork (this does not apply to retrofits when ductwork is not being changed out)
2) Heat load calculations are required
3) Duct leak testing is required
Got questions? You can contact our state office or the LSUCCC/Louisiana State Uniform Construction Code Council for any clarification.
Remember to always be in compliance; our HVAC dealers/members are committed to a Code of Ethics, and we will continue to hold them to these standards.
