Today was a special day as Governor Landry signed SB 34, Bryan’s Call, into law!

On behalf of The Arc of Louisiana and the families who will benefit from this legislation, we are incredibly grateful to Senator McMath for authoring this important bill and to Representative Hebert for carrying it through the House and helping guide it to final passage.

A special thank you also goes to Louisiana State Police, especially Whytley, for working closely with us throughout the process to ensure this bill met the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. Your collaboration and commitment made a real difference.

While Senator McMath and Whytley were unable to join us for today's signing ceremony, they were certainly missed. Their dedication, leadership, and hard work were instrumental in making Bryan’s Call a reality.

This new law represents an important step forward for families across Louisiana, and we are thankful to everyone who helped make it happen. Together, we are creating a safer and more responsive system for individuals with disabilities and their loved ones. Patrick McMathLouisiana State Police
