Capital Area United Way works to advance the common good and create opportunities for a better life for all. This is done through our focus on education, income, and health. With your support, over 120 programs that have measurable results in these three focus areas are currently being funded. These programs touch the lives of thousands in our 10-parish Capital Area and are making a positive impac

These building blocks for a good life begin with helping meet basic needs of a person or family and complete the circle by improving the conditions for the community. As Capital Area United Way focuses on outcomes related to education, income, and health, we are also looking at how we invest in basic needs.

The Way To Work Sustainable Workforce Solutions, a CAUW Innovation Grant initiative through HOPE Ministries, continues to foster success for our community through workforce development and supplies them with an avenue to create the stable career they envision.

The program takes a period of uncertainty and instead creating solid foundation that capitalizes on hard work, diligence and initiative.

With programs like The Way to Work, people like Lisa can know that success is ALWAYS in reach. We are fortunate to have a nonprofit partner like HOPE Ministries, and The Way to Work is just one incredible program out of dozens that creates a remarkably strong network of community resources in times of struggle.
