As 2024 comes to an end, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it has been. For those who may not be aware, Scarlett Skies Initiative was only officially established in March of this year. Thanks to the help of many generous supporters over the past nine months, we’ve managed to offer opportunities to youth and women in Louisiana beyond what I would have ever expected within our first year. Especially as such a new and unknown organization.
Seven years ago, I dreamt up Scarlett Skies Initiative as a way to honor my daughter’s life and to give back through a mission that holds deep significance for me, one that I felt needed greater attention and support.
This year, that dream blossomed into reality. I’ve worn more hats than I ever imagined possible, gaining invaluable experiences along the way, and I know there’s still so much to learn. I’m so proud of what we have accomplished so far, and so excited for what’s to come!
In less than a year, our organization has been able to offer free flights, educational opportunities and experiences to more individuals than we anticipated in such a short time. This would not have been possible without the collaboration and contributions of the donors and businesses that have supported and believed in our initiative. I am profoundly grateful to each and every one of you, thank you!
As we wrap up this year, I hope you’ll join me in reflecting on the powerful impact that a single person’s dream can create. My own little dream came to fruition many years ago, but was finally made a reality thanks to the incredible women who have inspired me through their own initiatives, a supportive partner by my side, and having belief in myself. This serves as an important reminder of the potential within each of us to spark change and inspire others.
Scarlett Skies is entering the new year with determination to create an environment where aspirations can flourish, proving that with passion and support, dreams can truly take flight. Here’s to a year of inspiration, hope, and limitless possibilities!
