We are saddened by the news of Senator Larry Selders' passing. Senator Selders was a champion for Mental and Behavioral Health Services in Louisiana. He will be greatly missed. We offer his family our deepest condolences.

Many of you are asking "What is LAMHA's Fisher Project?" Let us tell you.

LAMHA's Fisher Project is a 6-month virtual su***de prevention program. Clients can self-refer or be referred by a behavioral health professional or a family or caregiver. Clients are assigned a supervised peer support specialist who works closely with them throughout the 6 months of the program. The Fisher Project is not a crisis program. It does not require any form of payment or insurance so works in conjunction with therapy or in-patient behavioral health programs.
