🏠🔨 Our 21st Annual Women Build is officially underway!

We’re kicking off this year’s build with Team Hammer Time, led by Lynn Clark! 💪💕

Lynn served as Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge’s Executive Director for 20 years before retiring in 2024. She helped launch Women Build at our affiliate, making it especially meaningful to have her and Team Hammer Time back on the build site to start another year!

Since 2005, Women Build has brought thousands of women together to help local families achieve affordable homeownership. We’re grateful to continue that tradition with such a dedicated group of volunteers.

A huge thank you to Team Hammer Time and all of our Women Build sponsors, teams, and supporters for making this year’s build possible! 💚

🏡🔑 Welcome home, Iriel!

We are so excited to celebrate Iriel as she officially closes on her new Habitat home!

Built during the 2026 LSU Greek Life Build, this home represents months of hard work, dedication, and the support of a community that came together to help make homeownership possible.

Reflecting on her journey, Iriel shared, “Thank you for investing in more than a house. You invested in a life. Your generosity reshaped my future and I’ll always be grateful.”❤️

A special thank you to the LSU Greek Life, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make this moment possible. Your support goes far beyond building a house, creating opportunities for lasting stability and brighter futures.

Congratulations, Iriel! We wish you a lifetime of happiness and memories in your new home!

🏡 Women Build starts THIS WEEK! 💗 🔨

A big thank you to Holmes Building Materials for helping us kick things off! Their team rolled up their sleeves at Saturday's pre-build, helping prepare the site for construction.

Beyond volunteering, Holmes generously donated materials to build the walls for the home and has contributed valuable materials to our Habitat ReStores. These contributions help reduce construction costs and support affordable homeownership opportunities for local families.

💙 Thank you, Holmes, for making an impact both on and off the build site! We're grateful for your partnership and support of Habitat's mission!

What a great day at TopGolf FORE! Habitat!

Last Friday, we had our biggest turnout in five years, and we couldn't be more grateful for everyone who came out to make it such a memorable event!

A very special thank you to our Roof Sponsor, Baton Rouge Telco Federal Credit Union, for playing such an important role in making this year's event possible!
Since 1936, Telco has helped individuals and families across Southeast Louisiana work toward their financial goals. That commitment goes hand in hand with Habitat's mission of making safe, affordable homeownership possible for local families. We're grateful for their generous support of TopGolf FORE! Habitat and for helping us continue that work in our community.

To all our sponsors, supporters, and guests, thank you for showing up, having fun, and supporting Habitat's mission. We couldn't do what we do without the support of our community!

We can't wait to see everyone again next year! 💙💚

Raising the walls, one swing at a time. ⛳

As our Roof Sponsor and largest supporter of TopGolf FORE! Habitat, Baton Rouge Telco Federal Credit Union is helping turn a day of golf into something much bigger — more opportunities to build safe, affordable homes for families in our community.

“At BR Telco, we believe community investment is more than a commitment, it’s a responsibility. Supporting organizations like Habitat for Humanity helps create stability, opportunity, and stronger neighborhoods for the families we serve. We’re proud to partner with Habitat because when our community thrives, we thrive.”
— Danielle Sonnier, CEO, Baton Rouge Telco Federal Credit Union

We’re incredibly grateful to BR Telco for stepping up in such a big way. Every swing helps raise the walls — and their support helps put a roof over them.

🏡✨ Celebrating the hard work and dedication of our partners as they take another step toward homeownership!

Throughout September’s Financial Literacy series, future homeowners learned skills they can carry with them long after closing day. One participant’s determination especially stood out. After unexpectedly welcoming her baby during the course of the program, she still joined class through Zoom from the hospital the very next day to stay on track toward her goal.

“As dedicated as I am to complete the program to become a homeowner, I can tell they’re (Habitat & Neighbors) there and ready to help me along the way,” she shared. From understanding the importance of credit to learning how and why to save, she said these lessons will continue to help her throughout her journey.

A special thank you to Ms. Kim Chapman and Neighbors Federal Credit Union for sharing their knowledge, encouraging our future homeowners and going the extra mile to make sure they have the support they need to succeed.
