Public Relations Association of Louisiana - Baton Rouge Chapter Founded in 1972, PRAL Baton Rouge consists of more than 200 members in the Greater Baton Rouge area.

PRAL is an affiliate of the Southern Public Relations Federation (SPRF), a four-state organization (including Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida) that provides added dimensions of professionalism. Over the past few years, PRAL-BR has grown tremendously, solidifying our organization as Baton Rouge’s premier public relations community. To sustain PRAL-BR and ensure its long-term success, our Board of Directors has reexamined the organization’s bylaws and has recommended long-overdue changes.

Official voting to incorporate these bylaws will take place in-person at our June 25 social event. All active PRAL-BR members will be eligible to vote. In addition, members will also vote on the proposed board slate for 2026-2027.

As part of a collaborative partnership between Public Relations Association of Louisiana - Baton Rouge Chapter and Public Relations Society of America, Baton Rouge Chapter, we are launching a new summer learning series designed to bring public relations professionals together for timely conversations, industry insights and professional development.

We are excited to kick things off on Friday, June 26, with "AI for Communications" Workshop, presented by Chris Yandle, Ph.D., APR!

Grounded in PRSA's standards and real-world application, this session will explore responsible AI use, common concerns, and how to leverage these tools to strengthen (not replace) the work communicators do every day. Whether you're AI-curious or already experimenting, you'll leave with practical takeaways you can apply immediately.

The conversation will be held at LSU Manship School of Mass Communication Holliday Forum. Bring your lunch and join the conversation!
