On August 15, Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana Chapter 1 was deeply honored to be one of four organizations receiving a generous donation from Jacques Doucet and the incredible team at Red, Rock & Blue.

For the past 17 years, our chapter has been blessed by this partnership. Under the direction of Shawn King, our members and volunteers help make the annual three-day spring softball tournament a success by organizing volunteers, operating concessions and selling merchandise.

This year, Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana Chapter 1 received an extraordinary donation of $35,000! We are truly grateful to Jacques, the Red, Rock & Blue team, every sponsor, participant and volunteer who makes this generosity possible.

This funding allows us to host meaningful events and continue fulfilling our mission: honoring our veterans, supporting our active-duty military and standing strong beside our Gold Star Families.

Seventeen years of partnership. Seventeen years of service. Seventeen years of making a difference together. ❤️🤍💙

Did you know that you don’t have to join the chapter nearest you? Louisiana Chapter 1 offers virtual meetings. We have family and friends scattered all across the USA. We will even mentor you if you want to charter a chapter in your area. There are many ways to connect🇺🇸❤️🇺🇸
