🇺🇸 FLAG RETRIEVAL – VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 🇺🇸

The 14th Annual Memorial Day Garden of Flags has fulfilled its mission, and now we need your help with the next step.

Join Blue Star Mothers of Louisiana Chapter 1 tomorrow morning at the Louisiana State Capitol as we carefully retrieve the more than 11,000 American flags that were planted in honor of Louisiana’s fallen heroes.

Many hands make light work, and we would love to have your help as we respectfully remove the flags from the garden and prepare them for storage.

☕🍩 Donuts and fellowship will be provided!

Every flag represents a sacrifice.
Every flag represents a family.
Every flag deserves to be handled with care and respect.

Whether you helped plant the garden or are joining us for the first time, we welcome you.

Please wear comfortable clothing, bring work gloves if you have them, and join us as we complete this Living Act of Remembrance.
