Thank you for your interest in Shizoku-Kai. Like the meaning of our name, our goal is to build a martial family. We’d like to help select academies add to their repertoire of martial arts styles, and if requested, refine their currently offered ones. The styles that SZK oversees and grades

• Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
The utmost concern, for all styles which S
hizoku-Kai represents, is that students can utilize that respective art to survive a street fight. This unique concern is reflected within our student ranking gauge. Before testing is permitted the student must fulfill the below gauge. (Special circumstances permitted)
Unique Rank Gauge:
• You should have basic competence of your own rank material
• You should be improving on the previous rank material
• You should be able to do techniques 2 levels lower whenever you desire.
• You should always beat two ranks below yours & control the majority of a fight with one below. Shizoku-Kai maintains devotion to teaching the arts at their highest level, as a martial art and as a way of life. To this end, SZK conducts clinics and regularly scheduled intensive training sessions, special training for all students, as well as a continuous training program for advanced students and instructors. The only “financial fee” involved with SZK would be a donation to clinic instructors. We would like to welcome traditional martial artists to join Shizoku-Kai to help facilitate a style or even to add a new style to their repertoire. Both schools and individuals who are seriously interested in the study of traditional martial arts are welcome to join us. NOTE: All applicants are carefully screened to ensure that they are the right fit for (SZK) and more importantly, we are the right fit for them. Not every one who applies will be accepted in the Shizoku-Kai
