Autism Society GBR had an awesome Autism 101 Training hosted by Aetna for Better Health Community Service Center! To introduce ourselves, we named and celebrated our unique gifts and abilities, which resulted in a
lot of laughter and some incredulity. We learned things about each other we did not know! Updated information on the Autism Society was shared: Mission and Vision, Values, Initiatives, Areas of Outreach. ASGBR shared current information on Autism: definition, characteristics, causes, evaluation and diagnosis, and prevalence. Self advocate Davey did an aweome job sharing his experience, answering questions, and asking some himself! Participants were given a certificate of attendance and sent out to be connections in creating inclusive, welcoming communities!
